Orissa – an organic state

 Urge the government to declare Orissa as an or ganic State .

Problems:

Wide – spread promotion & usage of chemical fertilizers & pesticides are depriving the land of it’s fertility, the farmers of their self-reliance, the consumers of their health & ecology of it’s balance.

Objectives:

• Train & support farmers – tribal & non-tribal in eco- farming.
• Lobby with the government of Orissa to declare Orissa an Organic State .
• Create public awareness about the dangers of consuming chemically grown vegetable & grains
